Perfect Pizzelles!5
This is exactly what I was looking for. It works great and I was making perfect pizzelles in no time at all. I pulled it out of the box, mixed up some batter with the including instruction book and I had pizzelles! They tasted great! The iron heated up quickly and held the temperature constant throughout. The instruction book has recipes for regular vanilla pizzelles and anise ones as well as a chocolate version and another fancier one. I only tried the basic one so far because that what we like but the recipe is easy to follow. I just dumped all the ingredients together and a baking I was. This product was everything I expected and more. You can only make 2 at a time but they go so quickly I had dozens made in no time at all. I was worried when I bought this since it was the cheapest one Amazon had but I didn’t want to spend the extra money and I’m glad I didn’t. This is a really great product and I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about it.

Cuisinart Pizzelle Press5
Perfect Pizzelles! This is a great pizzelle maker and you can’t beat the price. It heats quickly and evenly, the nonstick surface is easy to clean and you can store it upright to save space. It also has several settings so you can make them lighter or darker. The nonstick surface is great, all you really need is a quick wipe with a wet paper towel, I am a maniac about cleaning so I also like to use a toothbrush to clean all the nooks and crannies in the press. Although it doesn’t have an indicator tone, you can hear a soft click when the light is turning from green to red so you can multi task. The instruction book comes with several traditional recipes that you can mix up in minutes. Perfect for holidays or anytime you want a quick treat. Anise, vanilla and almond are my favorites, I have not tried it yet but I was thinking of making a batch with banana extract, I imagine you could pretty much use any extract. Highly recommended!

Good value!5
Well, it was my first time making pizzelle and I had been shopping on different websites and comparing different products. This product is very easy to use and to store. Now I am a pizzelle expert in the neighborhood.

Cuisinart WAF-4B 4-Slice Belgian Waffle Iron, Brushed Stainless

How nice to see you
Have a nice time i find Cuisinart WAF-4B 4-Slice Belgian Waffle Iron, Brushed Stainless I make this product appeal to young people

Customer Shopping BuZZ

It started off great…2
I am a true believer in reading reviews done by people who have owned the product for a significant amount of time. Most products seem great when you first purchase them and the same rings true for this. When I purchased this waffle iron I loved it. It has been about a year and a half since the initial purchase. I make my kids waffles several times a week. So I really use it.

Here is the good stuff: The waffles do cook great and I love the timer. I get great waffles all the time thanks to the beep.

Now the issues:
1. The cost is high considering the low quality of the iron. I have cheaper irons that are built way better.

2. The temperture control handle broke within 60 days. I can use it but if falls off all the time.

3. It is a pain in the butt to clean. The grids do not come out and it’s pretty heavy so it is difficult to wash.

4. The sides of the handle get really hot and the handle is not sturdy. They may have addressed this with the new model.

5. My newest issue, the non-stick coating is coming off. YUCK! I had my previous waffle maker for 10 years and the coating is still in-tact. Since non-stick coating is so dangerous for your health I am going to be throwing this out. Every time I use it there are more areas where the coating is chipping off. It has never been washed with anything more than a wash cloth, and no metal utensils are used.

I do not think this is a very good purchase. I hope my review is helpful.

Superb waffles5
We absolutely love this Belgian Waffle Iron. It browns uniformly, and you can make them as light or as dark as you wish. The audible “done signal” is a major plus. The waffles have deep nooks and crannies to hold all the melted butter or ice cream you want to put on them. My daughter asked for them instead of cake for her birthday party. The recipe in the book is really the best one to use for this iron. Enjoy! We do.

That darn beeper!4
I purchased this Belgian Waffle Iron because I have a bed & breakfast and thought it would be perfect because of the speed of cooking as well as the size and the fact that it had a “beeper” on it to remind you that it was ready to cook and then again that the waffle was cooked. It even has variable temperatures. Well, I find that I want my waffles browned, so it’s turned up, but the beeper goes off way before the waffle is ready. And it’s really loud! So we have all been laughing at this little machine that keeps beeping me!

I had planned on buying a second waffle iron like this because I’m feeding lots of people, but I can’t even imagine dueling beepers! It will drive us nuts. The clean up is fine, the storage is fine, the handle stays cool. Everything is great, except that darn beeper!

GREAT WAFFLES using hints from unhappy cooks…5
Last weekend my niece and I went out to find a waffle iron for my sister’s birthday. My sister makes waffles at least once a week for her family of four and had been complaining about how slow and small her aging waffle iron was. This Cuisinart unit is the high-end one many departments stores are offering and it looks good, so we brought it home. Only later that day did I read the reviews here, which left me feeling a little nervous.

Not to worry… Thanks to other cooks documenting their bad experiences, I was able to pass on a few caveats and, voila!, great waffles. Here’s all you need to do:

* Position the waffle iron so the top doesn’t touch anything when it’s open. It does get hot, like many waffle irons. Also, make sure to open and close the top using the non-metallic handle, which is large enough and stays cool. Makes sense.

* Use a non-stick spray before making the first waffle of the day, while it’s pre-heating. We had no problem with sticking and the waffle iron cleaned up easily with a paper towel.

* Experiment to find the right amount of batter for your favorite recipe. Based on others complaining about overflows, we started with 1 cup, rather than the 1 1/2 cups the instructions suggest. By the second waffle, my sister concluded that 1 1/4 cups works just right for her recipe.

* Spread the batter into a roughly rectangular shape before closing the top, leaving an inch or so around the edges. You don’t have to be in a huge hurry and it doesn’t have to be perfect.

* Experiment to find the right setting for the crispness and color you like. The beeper seems to go off when the time indicated by the dial setting has elapsed. We started at a setting of 4.5, the beeper went off before the waffle was quite crisp, and by the second waffle, my sister concluded that a setting of 5 is just right.

* Before pouring the next waffle, close the top to preheat and wait for the beeper.

* If your batter does overflow, don’t be in a hurry to clean it up, which will just smear it. Let it cook on and when you’re finished, it ought to come off pretty easily. No big deal.

My sister doesn’t find the beeper annoying. In fact it just means she doesn’t have to keep her eye on the light while she’s eating with her family. Just looking at the underside of the waffle iron, my bet is you could disconnect the beeper if it bugs you.

My sister’s family says her wonderful waffles are even better now… bigger, golden brown, and even a little fluffier and crisper. And for the first time the waffles were arriving at the table fast enough that nobody had to wait long for the next one.

As you might imagine, I’m thinking about ordering one from Amazon for my own family…

Family Life Saver!4
When I saw this 6 slice waffle iron I had to have it! My 2 boys are always asking for seconds before I’ve even had one. I tried it out today, and it works really well. There are just a couple things to note. The handle should have been all heat resistant plastic. If you aren’t careful, and you touch the sides of the handle they will burn you. My husband and I both did this!

Also, the beep to let you know it’s hot is good, except the manual says it also beeps when your waffles are ready. Don’t believe this! They aren’t ready when it beeps. It’s best to still use the steam method, and check the waffles yourself. The beep is good to keep you on your toes, so if you’re cooking and eating at the same time you don’t burn them to a cinder! But it’s not a guage to when the waffles are done.

I wish there was a lock on the lid, for storage. It pops open very easily. My cheapo one had a lock, and that was the only great thing about that one. Also, they say you can store this on its side, but it is kind of unbalanced. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The stainless steel looks nice, but it does get very HOT. So you don’t want to accidentally touch the sides, or as I said above, the sides of the handles.

Overall though, I think this is a very good waffle iron for even a family of 4. You can all eat together!

Love it!5
I’ve worn out so many waffle irons and searched high and low for one that made more than 4 waffles for my family. I loved this one despite the problems because:

It heats up fast!
Cooks the waffle fast!
Bigger than most waffle makers!
Comes with various recipes and I like how the “regular” recipe is large..made enough batter to keep in a lidded pitcher for days and the kids were able to make themselves waffle snacks any time they liked!

Those “pros” made it worth it to me, especially when comparing it to what’s out there on the market..which isn’t much.

Cons:

Yes, it leaks when you use more than about a cup of batter, just poor that CUP (not cup and a half) down the center line and it shouldn’t be much of a problem. Just have paper towels handy because I find most waffle irons leak, some just worse than others.

I prefered cool touch makers with the plastic outside to this metal but I still like it this one!

I’d prefer the plastic on the handle covering the “entire” handle but just don’t touch the metal part! It’s a generously long portion for you to grab and open.

I do find the squares that make the “6″ waffles smaller than other makers but it still makes a larger amount of waffles in it’s entirety.

I like the “beeping” because I tend to always be multitasking so I can hear it in the next room or while eating at the table. Don’t like how often it beeps while sitting there and we aren’t ready to make another waffle yet. But it’s not a problem.

All in all it’s worth it. I love it!

FC female condom Customer Reviews

Fantastic
I am a sexual health educator and public health nurse. I am excited to offer my patients a product that doesn’t require a choice between pleasure or safety. Much better than the traditional ‘male’ condom. I am a fan! I love sharing the research about the numbers of women who prefer them to ‘male’ condoms and how the overall usage of condoms goes up when both alternatives are offered. Many of my patients have a difficult time negotiating the use of condoms – I like that women can use this regardless of how comfortable they feel in talking about the use of condoms. Share the good news!!

great poduct,
These work great, i think that they are better then the male condoms. My husband and I use only these, it doesnt take away any of the feeling. The only down side is taking the time to put it in.

Best condom by far!
Much stronger yet far more sensitive. Not damaged by hot car glove compartment temperatures. I’m allergic to latex but not to this. OK for use with oil based lubricants for underwater fun. Does not degrade with age. Can be put in place hours in advance for completely spontaneous love making. Does not strangle a large diameter penis. Whether you are straight, bi, or gay – try it! You will like it!!

Wow,
This was so much better than male condoms. Both my husband and I were very impressed. We’ll be using these from now on.

Great basic waffle iron5
This is a great basic waffle iron. It does have an indicator light to tell you when it’s ready for the batter. I’ve seen other irons with timers or lights to indicate when the waffles are done, but I’ve used this one dozens of times and never burned a waffle yet. The non stick surface is easy to clean and the waffles turn out perfect, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I actually use this much more than I thought I would…the kids love them!

easy to clean! makes great waffles5
I’ve had this waffle maker for several years and it makes THE BEST waffles! They are crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth moist on the inside. It also is great for people who don’t have a lot of space in their kitchen. It stands upright for storage. Also, what makes this waffle maker rate above others is the fact that it is VERY easy to clean! Other waffle irons can be hard to clean because the batter will ooze out and into little hard to reach spots and then you have to wait for it to cool and try to wipe it out somehow. I’ve owned other waffle makers before that did this. There’s still dried out, old batter from places that were impossible to clean out! The Proctor Silex one does not have this problem. I practically don’t even have to clean it! After I’m done, I’ll wipe it gently with a paper towel, and that’s about it! This combined with the fact that the Proctor Silex waffle maker also makes better waffles than other brands makes this the best one on the market.

Makes Yummy Waffles5
Well, we wanted waffles and that’s what we got with this waffle maker. It works as advertised. Nothing fancy here. Plug it in, make the batter and by the time your done mixing the batter, the ready light is off and you pour your first waffle. Takes about 4 minutes per waffle and they come out moist on the inside and crispy on the outisde. And they dont stick. I don’t use any spray or butter on the non-stick surfaces. So, we are happy with our waffles.

Cuisinart WMR-CA Round Classic Waffle Maker

Cuisinart WMR-CA Round Classic Waffle Maker

Hi guys! How are you?
We are interested in the Lastest model of Cuisinart WMR-CA Round Classic Waffle Maker Yes, I think that interesting .

Customer Shopping BuZZ

The best waffle maker on the market!5
I’ve owned three or four waffle makers and none of them compare to the quality of this gem from Cuisinart. If you’re picky about waffles–and why shouldn’t you be?–then spend a little extra on this model and get effortless results. Here’s what makes this a GREAT wafflemaker:

1) An accurate thermostat–no surprises when you open the lid
2) A consistent heating surface–avoid hot spots or undercooked waffles
3) A variable timer–essential if you have more than one waffle color preference in the family
4) Smart design–it stores on its side, taking up a LOT less space in your cupboard
5) Easy to clean exterior–cleans up with a damp paper towel
6) Dependable non-stick finish–unlike cheap waffle makers, the nonstick finish on this model does not wear out
7) Cool-touch lid–never burn your hand on a waffle maker again

I am genuinely thrilled with my Cuisinart waffle maker and I believe it’s an absolute bargain. If you’re used to spending big bucks on store-bought waffles–or if you have a cheap, junky waffle maker at home–treat yourself to this nice little unit. It’s a low-cost luxury. Plus, you’ll have a fun time making waffles (and impressing your family and friends!). Bon appetit!

Consistent waffling5
Update: Daily use, keeps going and turns out excellent waffles.
I mentioned below that waffle batter can be stored in the fridge. Try leaving it out overnight. The batter turns slightly sour, and still makes great waffles, but with a sourdoughish flavor that is pure heaven with maple syrup. And you can make some and leave it next to the waffle iron the previous night so all you have to wait for in the morning is for this waffle maker to heat up.

Interesting that this product is getting polarized reviews. Either very good or terrible. Here’s my experience and then comments others might find useful.

- I made a batch of chocolate waffles to freeze (to reheat and serve with ice-cream). All 14 turned out perfect. Before that, I made 7 regular waffles that came out GBD – Golden Brown and Delicious. All I did was follow the light and use settings from 3 to 4.
- Going back and forth to get my preferred color was easy because 3 was still 3 after going to 4 (and a bit more). The initial and subsequent uses didn’t cause variations in the color. Good design.
- Wiped all of it clean with a wet kitchen napkin. Easy.
- Miles ahead of my last waffle iron, which required a lot of guessing and waffle rejection.
- DON’T open the lid until you see the ready light. Or bye bye waffles. They do not like to be disturbed until ready.
- A good recipe is important. Don’t use pancake mix, which is simply a combination of the dry ingredients formulated for pancakes and not waffles. Besides it’s a rip-off, like selling $1 unglazed tile as a $20 pizza stone.
- Here’s my adaptation of a Good Eats recipe: 2 cups all purpose flour, tsp baking powder, half tsp baking soda, tsp salt, 3 tablespoons sugar. Whisk together thoroughly. Combine 1/2 qt whole buttermilk or pint full fat yogurt + pint milk and 2/3 stick melted butter and pour into dry stuff. Mix with rubber spatula for ten seconds (don’t overmix, small lumps will be ok). Leave for about 5-10 min. Turn on waffle iron, spray plates with pam or similar spray. Drop two ice-cream scoop-sized blobs slightly behind the middle and let the lid down. Setting: 3-4. Remove when green light comes back on. Easy. Excess can be stored overnight in an airtight box in the fridge.

If I could wish for anything more, it would be for a ready light that was visible from the far end of my long kitchen. The light is designed to be in sight of a normal height person doing other stuff nearby. I have a long kitchen so the light is barely visible from my sink on the other side. Since then I’ve been listening for the “click” that flips the red light to the green.

Great waffler5
I am so surprised by the negative reviews of this product. We’ve had this waffler for a year now and have used it A LOT. I’d estimate 75 times- usually once or twice a week. We’ve never had a problem with sticking and the waffler is going strong. The waffles turn out great, every time.

One thing to consider, waffles require you to use oil in the batter. It’s what gives them the nice crispy golden brown outside, and I imagine it helps with the sticking too. Now, I’ve never encountered a waffle recipe that doesn’t call for oil, but it makes me wonder if those who have problem with sticking are simply using pancake batter???

We tried other wafflers with our regular batter recipe and the results were awful- heavy and dense. This waffler makes a nice light waffle. The selector really works to get the desired done-ness, it’s a great feature and we’ve found the results to be very reliable.

In short, we think this is a great product. Our experience with other wafflers indicates they’re not all created equal, and this one is quite a good model. We like ours so much we’ve completely stopped making pancakes!

George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Removable-Plate Grill with 5 Plates, Red

George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Removable-Plate Grill with 5 Plates, Red

How re you
To day I find introduce you this George Foreman GRP90WGR Next Grilleration Removable-Plate Grill with 5 Plates, Red from amazon and I read about that ,I think that wonderfull.

Customer Shopping BuZZ

I love this grill!!5
I heard a commercial for this about 3 or 4 times one evening, and I finally paid attention after barely listening to it the first few times. Once I saw that it had interchangeable, *dishwasher-safe* plates, I told my husband that I wanted it for Christmas. I popped over here to amazon and ordered it right away. It got here before Christmas, but since it was my gift, I had to leave it alone until afterwards ;-)

A few things attracted me to the grill. Interchangeable plates, dishwasher safe, and the waffle plates. I had been looking for a new wafflemaker, and in fact had looked at the store the night I saw the ad for the G5. The one we’ve had for 11+ years is too small for our family now, and I wanted something bigger. However, it seemed silly to spend a lot of money on one since I don’t make them that often. Imagine how happy I was to see the size of the plates on the commercial!

Let me tell you, I was not disappointed with my first waffle go-round a couple of days ago. It makes 2 waffles that are each just about the size of 2 typical square freezer waffles. That’s what I’m talking about! I made up a batch of Bisquick waffle batter, and set to cooking. It was trial and error as far as learning cooking times. I like my waffles softer, my husband likes them crispier. I would say on average they needed to cook 5-7 minutes. I pre-heated the grill as directed, and poured about 1.5 ladles of batter on each side. I didn’t get them perfectly full each time, but close enough, you know? We ate them, we liked them! I didn’t have any issues with them cooking unevenly; each batch turned out just fine.

Yesterday my husband made grilled cheese using the steak plate and the baking tray (upper & lower). He tells me that he flipped it over so he’d have the same design on each side *insert rolly eyes here*, but otherwise it cooked just fine.

Last night I made chocolate chip cookies using the recipe from the cookbook that came with the grill. So cool! They were virtually impossible to screw up! I did cook them longer than the recipe called for after the first batch; cooking times I think are are things that will have to be judged individually for each recipe. There are guidelines in the cookbook and the instruction manual, but I don’t think they’re hard and fast. Experiment and see what works best for you :-)

This morning my husband was at it again, this time making scrambled eggs. I didn’t get any (he ate them all while I was asleep!) but he says that they cooked the eggs in about 1/3 of the time as our gas stove. He was pretty happy with that.

I was pleased with the 2 drip trays and the better spatulas (also 2) that came with the grill, in addition to the cleaning sponge. I don’t know how often I’ll use the sponge, since the plates clean so easily by hand (and once again, they are dishwasher-safe!), but it’s nice to have. I liked the other Foreman grills, but cleaning them stopped me from using them as often as I might have otherwise. They were just kind of a pain; if you’ve used them you know what I mean.

Get this grill :-) If you have realistic expectations and are willing to experiment to get just the right cooking times, then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I’m not!

Disappearing Non-stick Coating3
This is my second GF grill. I had a different model for over a year. The GRP90WGR suffers from the same problem as the first one I owned. The non-stick coating is really poor. It doesn’t last very long, even with careful cleaning. My new grill has been used under ten times and the coating is disappearing from high spots in the grill surface even though I only use a soft sponge to clean it. In all other respects, this is a well-designed appliance.

Works for me!5
Some people seem to have had problems with the “Next Grilleration” Foreman electric grill. I haven’t.

The removable plates are a HUGE plus: simply snap them out, wipe off the grease with a paper towel, rinse the plates off (removing any cooked-on crust with a plastic scrubber), and into the dishwasher they go. The previous Foreman grill I used always bothered me, because cleaning it seemed an iffy–and potentially unsanitary–proposition.

I’ve also had no problems cooking thicker cuts of meat perfectly. HELLO! Just turn your (e.g.) steak around (so that what WAS the front side now faces the hinge) half-way through the grilling time. If you don’t have time to do that, you don’t have time to cook in the first place. If you can’t remember to do that, you should stay out of the kitchen, because you could hurt yourself.

One word of advice: ANY grill of this sort works best with boneless cuts of meat, simply because bone and meat shrink at VERY different rates when heated. (DUH!)

I haven’t tried to cook waffles on it. I use a waffle iron for that task. But the new Foreman grill makes GREAT grilled cheese sandwiches.

I LIKE the control of temperature on this model; the older models were either full blast or nothin’. With this one, you can experiment and find your personal ideal grilling temperature. It’s pretty clear that grilling a hunk of meat is best accomplished at a higher temperature than making a grilled cheese sandwich (though you’re welcome to your own conclusions).

In short, this seems to me to be a well-planned, well-built, and very useful kitchen gadget. It’s also cheaper than some alternatives folks have suggested. It grills quickly and well. It even LOOKS nice sitting on the counter.

I love it 4
After going through several cheap waffle makers in just as many years, I decided to buy a decent one that will hopefully hold up for decades. (I’m optimistic)
I bought this model after reading all the reviews on the Villaware 3200. This model is newer, having shown up here on Amazon 2-2005. The styling is much more attractive than the older model and while a bit more expensive, it’s worth it if it’s a keeper.

I was impressed with how fast the waffles came out, having made them for the first time this morning. Much faster than the ones I have had before. The waffles were cooked through, reasonably crisp, (the recipe is important and mine might not be the best for crispiness) and released every time.

I brushed the grids with real butter before heating it up and did not regrease.
For cleaning, all I did was wipe it carefully with a paper towel. The clean up is the easiest I have ever had in a waffle maker and the design aids cleanup.

I made the first waffle on the #5 setting. It was cooked through but not brown enough. Subsequent waffles were made at the highest setting. It’s important, as the booklet states, to flip the waffle over as you remove it for serving. Has to do with the gravity and settling of the finished product.

The beep is annoying on a quiet morning although useful.

This waffle maker is very solid feeling. The bottom is plastic which is a drawback but the unit as a whole is hefty and has a nice cord storage area that actually works easily.

This is the recipe I’ve used for years. I had such fun making these waffles this morning, I made a second batch for the freezer.

1 cup white flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup 9 grain cereal (optional but it is good-adds some crunch)
1/4 cup sugar -or less to taste
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt if desired- I don’t use it but I use salted butter
1 stick melted butter
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups buttermilk or whole milk. If using buttermilk, cut baking powder to 2 tea. and add 1/2 tea. baking soda

Possible 1/4 cup extra milk. Batter should be fairly thin.

While assembling ingredients, melt butter. Place all dry stuff in large bowl, whisk to mix.
Make a well, and add eggs and milk. Whisk everything together until just mixed. Fold in melted butter with spatula.

Very Good Belgian Round Waffler4
Why would you want a waffler?
I wanted to start making my own waffles after hearing about how subpar frozen waffles are in comparison to waffles made from scratch. Waffles made from scratch has a lot more versatility, quality, taste, and you can freeze them as well. Make a batch, freeze the extras, and just make more when you run out. I have to agree that these waffles are a lot better than frozen waffles and quality is of importance to me, so I’m sticking to this routine.

What kind of waffler to get?
There are many different kinds and here are some factors to consider:
1. Belgian vs Regular – basically the same batter, yet will taste different when made in these two different styles. The Belgian is bigger and the batter rises more when cooked, resulting in a very light and fluffy waffle. The regular waffle is more dense. Which is better? That’s personal preference, but I do like the Belgian more.

2. Shape
There are a lot of different shapes: Round, Square, Rectangular sticks, Mickey Mouse, Hearts, etc…. For regular waffles, Round is best because the heat coil in the waffler is able to spread the heat more evenly so all the edges gets cooked more evenly than with other shapes. This is not that big a deal, but it is of importance to consider.

3. One vs Multiple waffles.
For a waffler to make multiple waffles at once, it would take a lot of electricity and time. Considering those two factors, it’s better to have a couple of single waffle makers rather than one waffer that makes several waffles. My sister has one that makes 2 square waffles and she loves that one, but beware of those that make more than 2 waffles at a time. I like a single waffler because this is a uni-tasker and so I don’t want something so big and hard to store. I’ll accept that I need it and want it, but there’s no reason for it to take up more precious storage space than necessary.

After doing a lot of research, I bought the Cuisinart WMR-CA Round Classic Waffle Maker. A waffler is a very basic and simple item, I trusted the Cuisinart brand, and the price was right. I was disappointed by the performance though and replaced that one with this Villaware Waffler. I bought this brand off of my sister’s recommendation. Williams Sonoma carries this brand as well. I liked this model over the Cuisinart because:
1. I discovered that I liked the Belgian style better over the regular waffle.
2. A LOT less spillage – out of 9 waffles, only one had batter spilling over, and that’s from me testing out what the proper amount of batter should be. I have full confidence that I can make waffles consistently now with minimal to no spill-over.
3. Heavier duty and seems of better quality. It’s heavier, the lid is heavier as well – this is a good thing in a waffler because as the batter cooks and expands, it’s going to push the top open – having a heavier lid prevents this from happening as much. Some other models/brands have a locking lid. The only bad thing from the lid opening up is that your waffer will not be cooked as evenly on top than the bottom. The Cuisinart’s lid was also “wiggly” – meaning, when you open it, you could wiggle the lid from side to side. The Villaware one was a lot more stable in this respect, therefore, feeling of higher quality.
4. Alton Brown’s “Good Eats” show featured this waffler as the waffler of choice.

Overall, I really like this waffler. It works very well. There is no on/off switch, so once you plug it in, it starts preheating. When it’s ready for batter, it will beep. Every time it’s ready for batter, it will beep. This beep is the biggest drawback on this unity, it sounds like a dying bird. It’s very loud, there’s no way to shut it up, and it has a off-flat note to it that is grating and annoying. I put up with it because the beep is on an otherwise GREAT unit…and because it is helpful. I tend to do other things in the kitchen while waiting for the waffle to cook, so I can forget about the waffle. This beep reminds me with authority to get the cooked waffle out and put in new batter – for this, I’m very grateful…I just wish they made a nicer note that wasn’t so grating. The inside is non-stick, this is very nice. You can spray on some oil to help further prevent sticking. I don’t think it’s necessary to add any additional butter/oil, if you carefully pry an edge up, you can slide a spatula underneath and lift the whole waffle out pretty easily. The entire waffler is easy to clean. I just wipe out the whole thing with a paper towel. It’s one solid unit, so you can’t submerge it or put it in the dishwasher – just a good wipedown is sufficient.

I would recommend this item.

Great Waffle Iron5
We received this waffle iron as a wedding gift four years ago and have been using it frequently ever since. We wanted a heavy duty waffle iron like the food service department had at our colleges, only not as expensive and one that does not require as much counter space, so we got this one.

What is great about this waffle iron:
1. After four years of frequent use the cooking surface is in great condition. Granted, you MUST spray the surface with cooking spray to avoid sticking, but for those of us who forget to do that every once in a while the clean up is easy. I only spray the iron twice while cooking a batch of four to five waffles.
2. Easy storage! We live in a small house and do not have a lot of counter space. It is so helpful that the cord wraps around the base and the iron is light enough to be stored high up in a cupboard so I only need to use one hand to reach it.
3. CLEAN! This is the cleanest waffle iron I have ever had the pleasure of using. Things tend to get messy in this household and I have always been impressed with how easy it is to clean this waffle iron. All I ever use is a clean cloth to wipe down the inside. Occasionally I’ll have to scrub the outside if we overfill it and leave it sit too long.
4. It rarely overflows. It seems that whenever we attempt to overfill it the waffle puffs up rather than spill over the sides. This is a great feature, even if it is accidental.
5. I have tried at least 10 different waffle recipes in this iron and they all turned out great. My favorite recipe is the one that is included with the waffle iron when you buy it, but I have temporarily lost the book.
6. I have never had a burnt waffle. It is probably due to the combination of the beeper and the temperature settings, but I am satisfied.

CONS:
1. The hinge seems to have gotten a little loose with age, although it has not affected the quality of the waffles.
2. I like my waffles crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and have found that I need to set the iron at 7 (the max) before they come out the way I like. It would be nice if the iron had a little more range than 7 but I suppose they are trying to avoid a “burnt” setting.
3. The beeper is effective in that I must attend to the waffle iron or else I’ll go nuts from the chirping. Although, it is a nice way to let the family know that breakfast is ready and the chirping does not appear to bother anyone else but me.
4. This has nothing to do with the iron itself, but I wish they posted their waffle recipes on their website.

This is the best waffle iron we have used that is not industrial grade. I highly recommend this to anyone who does an average amount of waffle making.

One HOT waffle maker!5
I love this waffle maker! It’s like the ones our mom used, not those cheesy seeming plastic things they’re making now. It’s also got a lot of excellent features that make my life easier.

I’ll mention right now that this is a VERY hot waffle maker. They make the plastic ones to be “cool touch”. I’ll trade the cool touch feature for the sturdier design of this versatile machine. I’m being careful and haven’t burned myself yet. But it’s something to consider if you’d like your children making waffles. My ten year old could be careful enough, but I keep my five and eight year olds away.

The waffles this machine makes are great! They freeze well too. The family is very happy. When the light goes of the unit is ready to make waffles. Pour in the batter and the light comes on again–wait for it to go off and the waffle is done (however, I usually go on instinct and sometimes pull out the waffle before the light goes off.)

The open grill feature makes wonderful pancakes and fried eggs. I have a big family and it’s nice to have two pancakes cook at a shot without taking up all my stovetop! I can have bacon and eggs on the stove and the pancakes on the waffle maker. (I can also have a heart attack if I keep eating all these bacon and eggs!)

The sandwich feature is nice. I can cook two grilled cheese sandwiches at one time getting me out of the kitchen quicker. Some advice–cheese might drip out the side of the sandwich. Just keep the sandwich away from the back of the unit where the cables run in and the mess just wipes off–no problem. The sandwiches cook far more uniformly than they do in a pan on the stove. They taste great.

This unit cleans up easily and changing the grills from waffle to flat is easy. I recommend it over a lot of more costly models if you want more value for your money. This is the most versatile waffle maker I’ve found and all the features actually work!

Wonderful!5
I got this one after unsuccessfully trying the Cuisinart waffle maker. It is wonderful! None of the batters, not even gluten-free ones would stick. All waffles came out great, crisp outside and moist inside. The grill feature was a plus and makes great grill cheese or other types or grilled sandwishes in a jiffy.

Now I know why I liked waffles as a little kid5
Back in the 60′s I loved the Sundays my Dad made waffles on a toastmaster Waffle/grill. He would add cinnamon, fruit, all kinds of things. Never stuck always light and fluffy. When I went to collage my odessy began. I have gone through 4! different brands and here is why you want this machine – Ok Betty Crocker and others may have a beeper but the waffle that comes out could have come out of a toaster, B&D lets you choose on a dark to light waffle ‘zone’ with a light that goes out when it reaches that temp. Even with a thick from the box batter out came the most fluffy waffle with a belgium like crust. Take a close look at this baby it’s CROME and yes it will get hot, (kids don’t touch) but unlike others it CLEANS UP. Overflows are no problem. Just as good a George Forman. And grilled sandwiches were wonderful but I use old world bakery bread with brie and dry salami, again adjust for light and dark. Favorite rescipe? Coco for a chocolate waffle and chocolate chip icecream to make a sandwhich. This is an ‘open and closed’ case and realy is space saver 3 in 1 product for our family.

Presto 03510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker

How nice to see you
Have a nice time i find Presto 03510 FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker from amazon and I read about that ,I think that wonderfull.

Customer Shopping BuZZ

Half the price but every bit as good (so far).5
We bought the Presto FlipSide to replace a faux pro waffler made by the blender company who shares its name with Fred W’s Glee Club. That one cost twice the price and lasted a mere three years before going to pieces. It was “Pro” in name only.

Presto took a simpler and possibly more durable approach: Add a second hinge to a traditional counter top Belgian waffle maker so it can flip 180 degrees and let gravity work its special magic. The entire weight of the baking platform is supported by the counter top, not by a pair of screws driven into failure-prone plastic.

When I unpacked the iron and set it on the counter, I noticed that the upper grid “floated” slightly when the grids were resting at the left side of the hinge. It might just be a mass-production variance but it was cause for concern because the iron has to close tightly for proper baking. When I flipped them to the right, the grids closed firmly, so the left side became the filling side and the right, the baking side. Do the same when yours arrives.

The nonstick grids are deep enough to fall into, with dimpled tapered studs that assist in releasing the baked waffle. The baking surface is surrounded by a fairly generous overflow rim. At 1350 watts, it bakes hotter than the 1200 watt pro-look model. The Presto lacks a darkness control but you can compensate by adjusting the baking time. What’s important is the initial temperature when the batter hits the grids, and if you turn a darkness control too low, the grids are too cool to “fry” the outside. What you end up with is a textured pancake, not a real waffle.

The battery-powered timer is a nice feature but not really a necessity if your kitchen, like mine, has plenty of timers (the stove, the kitchen scale, the microwave oven).

The waffles come out about an inch and then some in height with a crisp, crackly exterior and a cloud-fluffy interior. We make our waffles from biscuit-and-baking mix but use the professional technique of separating the eggs and beating the egg whites before folding them into the batter. Baking time is 3 minutes for a waffle that would cost you at least a 10-spot plus tax and a tip on a hotel room service menu.

Time will tell if the Presto FlipSide, at half the price, is twice the waffle iron for the money. Updates as they happen. Stay tuned!

I know this is redundant, but it is really worth 5 stars!5
This waffle iron makes beautiful, fluffy waffles. I had a certain waffle iron from a company beginning with T that makes great toasters, but mediocre waffle irons. I didn’t realize how bad it was till a friend of mine made some waffles with that popular eighty dollar waffle maker. I almost cried! They were so good, but I knew I could never afford it! So I decided to try this one based on the good reviews. I’m ecstatic that I did.

First, this machine is quick compared to my other waffle iron. Waffles using a basic recipe are done in less than 3.5 minutes.

Second, the timer is a great idea. Relying on the “steam stoppage” method cooks the waffles too long for some recipes. The beeping when the waffles are done is just enough to bring your attention away from the bacon. Do NOT be foolish enough to leave the room when you have a waffle iron plugged in, for goodness sake!

Third, cleaning is super-easy and storage is a breeze. I love that it folds and locks in an upright position. It fits right in my tiny, overcrowded kitchen.

Last, the waffles are wonderful. Fluffy and crisp on the outside.

Buy this waffle maker. It’s worth it!

Presto Flipside Belgian Wafflemaker5
I love this product. I got it at a great price compared to what I’ve seen in Kohl’s, Bed, Bath and Beyond or Williams and Sonoma. I looked at all brands and all price ranges and I noticed spending more on a waffle maker doesn’t get you a better product. Also, some of the stores had more expensive waffle makers that were not Belgian style which is our family favorite. My kids love using the timer and flipping over the waffle to start the process they feel like they are really helping and the timer let’s me know when I have a perfectly crisp waffle.
